Home Care Assistance of Albuquerque is hiring compassionate and dependable individuals for our upcoming Paid Caregiver Training Program. If you enjoy helping others and want a career with purpose, we provide the training, support, and hands-on experience needed to help you succeed.
No prior caregiving experience is required. Our program is designed to teach you the skills needed to provide exceptional one-on-one care while building confidence as a caregiver.
Limited training spots available — interviews are required before acceptance into the program.
Paid Caregiver Training Program Details
Training Dates: August 17 – August 21
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Albuquerque, NM
You will be paid for all training hours at your hired hourly rate.
During training, you will receive:
- Instructor-led classroom training
- Hands-on caregiver skill practice

Pay & Benefits
Starting Pay:
$15.00 – $16.00 per hour
Additional opportunities include:
- $175 Perfect Attendance Bonus every payday

What You’ll Learn
Our caregiver training program prepares you with the skills needed to confidently support seniors in their homes.
Training includes:
- Personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support
- Safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Fall prevention and home safety
- Dementia care fundamentals
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation and nutrition
- HIPAA and confidentiality
- Infection prevention and safety
- Communication and professionalism
- Recognizing and reporting abuse, neglect, and exploitation
Your Role as a Caregiver
After successfully completing training, caregivers provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes, including:
- Personal care assistance
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Mobility support
- Light housekeeping
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Companionship and emotional support
Our caregivers help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they call home.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have reliable transportation
- Provide current vehicle registration and active auto insurance
- Be available to work between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Be available for at least 30 hours per week after training
- Be willing to work assigned shifts, including weekends
- Have strong communication skills and professionalism
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Successfully pass required background and drug screenings
