Home Care Assistance of Albuquerque is now accepting applications for our upcoming Caregiver Training Program.

If you are compassionate, dependable, and looking for a rewarding career, this program provides the training and support needed to become a successful professional caregiver. No prior caregiving experience is required.

We provide paid training, hands-on learning, shadow shifts, and ongoing mentorship to help you build confidence and succeed in your new role.

Training Program Details

Training Dates: July 06 – July 10

Training Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Space is limited. Applicants must complete an interview before acceptance into the program.

Pay & Benefits

Starting Pay:

  • $15.00-$16.00 per hour

  • $175 bonus opportunities every payday

What You'll Learn

Our instructor-led training includes classroom education, hands-on practice, and real-world caregiver shadowing.

Training topics include:

  • Personal care and daily living assistance
  • Professional caregiving skills
  • HIPAA and confidentiality
  • Fall prevention and home safety
  • Mobility and transfer assistance
  • Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation awareness
  • Meal preparation and nutrition
  • Client communication and professionalism

Caregiver Responsibilities

After successfully completing training, caregivers may assist clients with:

  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Meal preparation
  • Mobility assistance
  • Light housekeeping
  • Transportation and errands
  • Companionship and emotional support

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation required. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and active auto insurance in their name.
  • Available between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM
  • Able to work at least 30 hours per week after training
  • Must be able to work any shift assigned, including weekends.
  • Strong communication and professionalism
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass required background and drug screenings
