Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour

King’s Grace Homecare is seeking dependable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide non-medical, in-home support for seniors and adults with disabilities in the Decatur area.

This position is ideal for individuals who value consistency, prefer one-on-one care, and want flexible scheduling options.

Paid training is available for candidates who are new to caregiving.

Role Overview

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide hands-on support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Offer medication reminders (non-medical)
• Provide patient, respectful support to individuals with memory-related conditions
• Maintain basic care documentation

Qualifications

• Reliable and able to maintain a consistent schedule
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to assist with lifting/mobility (up to 50 lbs.)
• Must pass a background check

Experience

• Previous PCA, caregiver, or home care experience is helpful
• Experience with dementia or memory care is a plus
• Entry-level applicants welcome – training provided

Scheduling Options

• Full-time, part-time, and PRN availability
• Day, evening, and weekend shifts available
• Some holidays may be required based on client needs
