What This Role Is (And What It’s Not)

What it IS:

A role focused on coaching, mentoring, and helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) build everyday life skills. You’ll support individuals in areas like budgeting, cooking, job searching, exploring the community, and building routines.

What it is NOT:

This is not a medical or hands-on caregiving role. You will not assist with toileting, bathing, feeding, or other physical care tasks.

Your Day-to-Day Might Include:

• Coaching Support - Help individuals work toward goals like finding jobs, learning to cook, or managing money
• Encouragement & Problem-Solving - Support progress and help navigate challenges
• Community Support - Assist during grocery shopping, public transportation, and outings
• Safety Skills - Help individuals learn how to handle real-life situations and emergencies
• Documentation - Track progress and provide updates to the team
• Team Communication - Stay connected with families and support teams

Requirements

We provide training, so no prior experience is required.

• Must be 18+
• Valid CA Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Pass background check & drug screen
• Clear TB test & vehicle inspection
• Willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
